The 16th World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia will be held at the beautiful Killarney Mountain Lodge in Killarney, Ontario, Canada. The Pre-Congress program will take place on September 19, 2028, followed by the main Congress from September 20–23, 2028.

Nestled along the pristine shores of Georgian Bay, Killarney Mountain Lodge offers a truly unique Canadian setting where rugged wilderness meets modern comfort. Surrounded by the iconic landscapes of Northern Ontario, the Lodge is renowned for its breathtaking waterfront views, historic charm, and exceptional hospitality. Its award-winning Canada House Conference Centre provides an inspiring venue for scientific exchange while showcasing the natural beauty and craftsmanship that define Canada.

Killarney is widely regarded as one of Ontario’s most picturesque destinations and serves as the gateway to the world-famous Killarney Provincial Park. Delegates will have the opportunity to experience the region’s sparkling waters, granite shorelines, and the striking white quartzite peaks of the La Cloche Mountains—landscapes that inspired generations of Canadian artists, including the Group of Seven.

More than simply a conference venue, Killarney offers an authentic Canadiana experience. From vibrant autumn colours and wilderness excursions to waterfront dining and Northern Ontario hospitality, the destination embodies the natural beauty, culture, and spirit of Canada. The Congress experience will extend beyond the lecture hall, blending world-class science with unforgettable social events, including a traditional Northern Ontario fish fry and our Gala Dinner, creating opportunities for delegates to connect with colleagues while immersed in one of Canada's most iconic natural settings.

While the Congress is proudly presented as Toronto 2028, reflecting the city that serves as the primary international gateway to the event, the scientific sessions will take place in Killarney, Ontario. Toronto offers convenient access through one of North America’s largest international airports and transportation hubs. Information regarding organized transportation options between Toronto and Killarney, along with recommended travel routes, will be provided closer to the Congress dates.

A dedicated room block will be available for Congress attendees at Killarney Mountain Lodge. Additional information regarding registration, accommodations, transportation, and booking procedures will be released as they become available. We encourage delegates to continue checking our website for the latest updates as we prepare a truly unique event that brings together scientific excellence, professional collaboration, and the best of the Canadian outdoors.
