September 19-23, 2028 - Greater Toronto Area

16th World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

Where Canadian Tradition Meets Innovation

Welcome to the 16th World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, taking place September 19–23, 2028, in the breathtaking surroundings of Killarney, Ontario, Canada.

Hosted on the shores of Georgian Bay at Killarney Mountain Lodge, this congress will bring together veterinary anaesthesiologists, pain specialists, residents, technicians, researchers, and industry partners from around the world for five days of scientific exchange, innovation, and collaboration.

Building on the long-standing tradition of the World Congress, first established in 1982, the 2028 meeting aims to celebrate advances in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia while fostering meaningful international connections within our specialty.

The congress will begin on September 19th with a dedicated pre-congress program focused on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), highlighting modern perioperative strategies designed to improve patient outcomes and recovery.

From September 20th to 23rd, the main congress will explore the theme: “Veterinary Anaesthesia at the Crossroads of a New Medical Frontier.” Through world-renowned speakers, cutting-edge research, practical workshops, and engaging discussions, the program will examine how innovation, technology, pain management, and collaborative care are shaping the future of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia.

Within reach of Toronto’s major international airport and vibrant cultural scene, Killarney provides the perfect balance between accessibility and immersion in one of Canada’s most scenic destinations.

Whether you are attending to expand your knowledge, reconnect with colleagues, or experience the spirit of Canada beyond the city skyline, we look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring and memorable World Congress in 2028.
